My wife and I have our grandson for a sleepover today. I took the opportunity to capture a few shots of him. Not pro quality but decent family images I'm happy with.

It's understandable why you like such nice family photos.

In the first two images, the skin tones on his face have a yellow cast that is not present in the skin tones elsewhere. If you correct that yellow cast, you'll probably like the images even better.

Thank you Mike for pointing that out. Not sure why I didn't notice the yellow cast, guess I don't have the trained eye yet. I can certainly see the difference once corrected.
How does it look now Mike?

Big improvements, Dave. The subtle changes eventually come down to personal preference, so decide what works best for you and always use a calibrated monitor. I would take the first of the two changed images even farther as shown below, but you may not prefer it. I used the color of the bright spot on the middle finger in his right hand as the basis of my decision, as the lighting on his face seems most similar to that area though certainly not exactly the same.

Your grandson looks lovely Dave IMO the skin color in Mike's edit looks more natural.

Happy Father's Day! Take a picture of your whole family. I am sure they will all be home for you????And oh, insert the colorchecker. I'd like to see how you use it...it will be interesting to see all 16 of them... Did I exaggerate again? Could it be 24?
