    Abandoned Building

A couple from an abandoned building I saw on my way to somewhere else.

    Exif:

    1. f/13 for 1/60 at 154mm with 800 iso
    2. f/13 for 1/13 at 200mm with 800 iso

    C&C desired

    Thanks for looking.

p.s. The black window in the first one was not a post production addition.

The second one is my favorite Ian. really nice. If it is convenient to return some cloud reflections in the glass would be a nice touch.

I'm weird, but I like #1 .. it feels like it fits more of the "abandoned building" mood.

I know we are not here for a botanical quiz or that it is a botanical photo composition, but I reckon the ivy on this one, to give it its full botanical name is probably: Parthenocissus quinquefolia. Its common names are Virginia Creeper or in some areas 'Five Finger Ivy'.

Strangely photographically, the first shot does more for me.....it is 'looking into the abyss' that returns no light. Really ties well with the abandoned title. The damaged woodwork helps too.

    Like it!

I would say that I am a fan of #1 too...I can just look in there and wonder and think like no one will disturb me or scare myself because something weird is going to get out of that hole and eat me or hurt me or something. Food for thoughts. I hope when I go back to bed I will not have a nightmare. Oh...not to worry really hubby and I are like otters -- we hold hands before we sleep so we do not float apart. That will solve the nightmare thing : I won't have any. So many choices for a story there.

#2 is nice too but thinking how many people are allergic to Poison Ivy, including me, I wouldn't want to touch that thing. It is a pretty picture though, just the thought of being itchy all day isn't my cup 'o tea. (Oh boy! I am turning into a fruitcake!!!)
