Work to be done (C&C Appreciated)

This one has been in the queue for a bit waiting to have just a touch of PP.

I took a walk around a small town in Italy one morning and found this scene.

#1. Full Scene - ISO400 f/11 1/800s (If my memory and math serves me correct - this was started with Sunny 16 Settings)


#2 Closeup - ISO400 f/11 1/800s 40mm

The sun and the light was just a bit better on the second one and I think more vibrant overall. I am not sure it tells as much of a story as the first.

For me, the two images tell different stories, not that one story is better than the other. Great use of light and great eye to see the possibilities.

Consider straightening the first one to make the strong, horizontal line in the wall level.

Great feedback Mike - funny how one does not notice this line until pointed out...I was so focused on the other elements....it really does need to be straight.

Mike, I agree with your assessment of the two images. It looks like the issue is perspective, and levelling that line would emphasise the sense of being drawn in to the image.
