very nice shot and story Steven.
The bright smile on the young woman's face makes this image...
You elicited a great reaction from both subjects, Steven. The younger one seems a bit perplexed, and that is fine. I wonder why you have left so much room on the right. I see that Tawau is in Malaysia.
I visited Melaka twice (1751.76 kilometers away from you), when our son worked there for two years.
Very nice image Steven. I like the expression of the woman. The bokeh adds to the composition
Great street photo. The smile on the woman's face is magnificent and the look on the child's face tells a story I recon.
Cheers Ole
Very nice shot, Steven. My DIL is a Chinese/Malaysian from Johor but she lives in Melbourne, Australia with my son and grandchild. I agree with Ole about the child's expression making this shot. I like the mother's fun attitude.
Sorry for the late reply.
Jim, I really have no idea why I left so much room on the right
Melaka is a nice place to visit for any history buff. Not sure if you tried their food that is uniquely theirs.

Yes. I am of mixed Asian descent. I thought everyone here knows by now.
Another moment perfectly captured Steven. I'm fine with the comp but it matters not anyway. It's the body language that makes this.
Excellent photo, Steven, of a a happy and loving daughter and mother.
