St. Andrews Cross Spider And Web, flash

It was a truly gentle breeze but it was enough to get the web vibrating. Popped up the flash at 0 compensation and had a go. Not too many bright spots and some nice detail. I have never seen an artifact lioke the circles in the eyes so I left them in just in case they are part of the spider.

Bright spots in the eyes of spiders and some other critters is normal. A bit like a form of red eye I suppose. Sometimes I try to clone them out but too often I then end up with an unnatural looking result.

Flash is my default shooting position; then I try without if I am getting problems. However, more often than not, my problems with the flash shots are still less than those without flash. No really firm rules here.

Sadly you can't see the little circle around each bright spot.
