Wine Corks
Wonderful friends gave me this board that holds wine corks. I add a cork to it when either the wine itself or the occasion when it was enjoyed was special. More often than not, it's both. Once the cork from a particular wine is added, another cork from the same wine and vintage is never again added.
I sent those friends the photo displayed here when the outer row of holes was filled and I'll send them the photo shown below now that the second row has also been filled. 72 holes filled. 58 more to go.
Setup
The tabletop is red art paper similar in color to the board. A medium continuous-light lamp above the scene in the left rear area creates the soft shadows in the right front area and the shadows that help define the remaining unfilled holes. A white reflector beneath the camera immediately in front of the scene brightens the vertical part of the corks in the front.

Re: Wine Corks
Thanks, Richard!
The memories are indeed nice. I document the occasion of drinking each wine and occasionally review the records.
