Any numismatists out there? 1918 20 centavo silver coin

A few days back M'Lady was walking our dog, as she returned to our gate a glint in the dirt road caught her eye. Bending down she picked up a 1918 twenty centavo silver coin. This coin started out in America. How it came to be in front of our gate I have no idea.

This coin comes from the time just after the Philippines was taken over by the States. This is the American side of the coin. Eagle and shield declaring to the world who the boss is.

On the Filipino side of the coin is a Lady, a smoking volcano and an anvil which you will get to see in the next post.

How it came to be in front of our gate I have no idea.

I have a coin collection, mostly cupro-nickel which I have accumulated over the last sixty years. None of the coins are legal tender and haven't been for many a long year. The collection weighs around 20Kg. In reality the coins are worth four-fifths of bugger-all. The next time I go bush in the back of beyond I'm going to bury the lot in the hope that in hundreds or even thousands of years from now someone will stumble upon them and come up with all sorts of theories as to how they got there.

M'Lady did the cleaning i did the shooting. Used a bit of raised side light for added shadows and details.

PS if you can pack an old clay pot to bury them in even better
