    Wine: Tesoro de Bullas

This Spanish wine produced by Bodegas del Rosario is made entirely from Monastrell grapes (also called Mourvèdre and Mataró).

NOTE: Though the faint vertical streaks in the background are not in the full-size file, I like them in this smaller file and wish I could reliably make them happen.

    Setup
The background is dark brown presentation paper and the fabric is laced with shiny, metallic threads. A medium continuous-light lamp high above the scene in the left front area shining mostly toward the camera allows only a small amount of light to fall on the subject. Light brightly falling on black fabric beyond the right side of the scene adds faint, irregular reflections to the bottle that help define its shape and add a slightly edgy appearance. A small continuous-light lamp is fitted with a diffusion sock to reduce its brightness and with a flag made of matte black foil to control where the light falls. It separately lights the background from below, which makes an attractive gradient that is brighter at the bottom and progressively darker toward the top.

Nice result but I would have liked to see the totality (left) of the ring and collar of the bottle.
    Very beautiful fabric rendering.

A wonderful (near) minimalistic shot. Good example of how the right set-up can produce an excellent "less is more" composition.

I liked it; but i would prefer a crop retaining only up to just below the label; pure personal taste

Thanks, everyone! The two suggestions offered by Jean and Nandakumar would work just as well in my mind.

A better photo (at least in my mind) of the same bottle using the same background material and fabric can be viewed here.
