Ever since M'Lady pointed up and innocently asked "what's that cotton ball thing?" I've had an itch to try astrophotography. The price of the gear dulled the itch. Yesterday I read that the Tamron 90 macro lens was a wonder on star fields.
Tonight the clouds cleared off and out I went. Caught a recognizable Jupiter with two of his moons. Callisto being the outside one and Ganymede the inner. I am cranked.
Maybe a telescope next year?

I'm going to try for some of the brighter colored stars. Astrophotography has always interested me. If I can find ways to do it on the cheap I'm going to be one happy camper. Originally Posted by Shadowman
