    Collins Street Melbourne

This is a photo I took recently. Looking through some discarded photos I came across this one. I liked the slight compressed view. This is very much a fancy. C&C most welcome.

I like it. Reminds me of how strange driving a car and doing a right hand turn is in the city.

Yes I think they are called hook turns, not for the faint hearted. I try to avoid them when we visit.

Nice image Ole, lovely autumn colour and light.

Wonderful color! Perhaps a little overly sharpened, at least in the small file displayed here but maybe not in the full-size file. Notice the halos along the bottom of some of the cars and the crunchy look of the trees as examples.

What does the sign in the upper area indicating Cut Off refer to?

I have to get used to going on public transport again...there are so much things I missed here doing over there, like driving to destination. Hooked turns is a unique thing to do over there. I can never understand it no matter how long I had lived there. It's kinda like an art -- -- especially when one missed the right one.

BTW, cool shot. I cannot compressed a shot like that unique one you have here. How the hell did you ever did that?!

A matter of distance and magnification.
Distance is defined by the place you stand. That can't be changed afterwards. Magnification is archived by the focal length of your lens or in pp by cropping.

George, the picture was a reject but when I looked closer I noticed the person on the left and passengers waiting for trams on the right. that, together with the turning taxi provided me with the option to crop PP. You take the images wherever you can.

I'm just trying to explain why it is as it is. There was a thread about this not so long ago.

End of electricity circuit, start of another. Information for the driver. Notice that it is an electric tram/bus.
