Sea of clouds

This is an image from my Black Sea Region trip. I was higher than 2000 mt in one of the plateus of the region and I was shooting the top of the high mountains. Suddenly a lot of clouds came below where I was standing and filled the gap among the mountains. It took about 45 minutes and then they just dissappeared. I was told that this happened from time to time... just a play of the climate.

I have some other shots of the sea of clouds. I'm planning to edit and make a set of them after having your comments about this image . Thanks in advance

The quick formation and dissipation of the clouds must have been very rewarding to experience. Gorgeous image. If you make others in the same style, you'll have an exquisite set.

The question of the how bright the clouds really were. There are clouds highly in the sky, therefore diffusing the sun. This can been seen from the light on the mountains. But yet the clouds they're were lit buy a non-diffussed light.

So, in another words in looks artificial. I think that if the light on the clouds was made to look more natural, the image would benefit from that.

Don't touch anything about the cloud - that is perfect.

I don't know if it's possible to determine by the brightness and contrast of the lower clouds whether those characteristics are the result of the density of those clouds or the quality of the light (diffuse or not) falling upon them. Perhaps someone who has expert knowledge about clouds can shed some light on that. (Sorry that I couldn't resist that last phrase.)

BTW. The clouds below came from outside and they were white. The clouds in the sky were grey. So, I didn't change the color of them.

Lovely scene well captured and processed. I believe that the lower cloud formation are referred to as Inversion, though I'm sure more knowledgeable people on here will advise on the correct terminology. Well done Binnur

Yes! A small but a one that give the image a greater sense of genuineness.

The change in the revised image is so small that though its aesthetics are more pleasing to me though apparent only upon toggling back and forth between the two images, the question about authenticity remains the same for me.

There is a small over exposed area of the lower clouds. Towards the end of the valley and just right of centre. I wonder if you could recover some detail from the original, or clone in a bit of texture?

I didn't think that the image needed any correction but, I tried selecting the clouds with a NIK Viveza Control Point and adding about +30 structure...

Hi Geoff. Why I like CinC is that there are always eagle eyes around That area is bright in the original too but I think I can do something about it. Thanks for noticing .
