    Some fungi

This was the first time I came across these fungi. The maiden veil fungi blooms in the morning and by late noon it fades away. It is about the size of a volley ball.

John, Nandakumar, Binnur, Jean, Izziek thanks for the comments.

Izziek, the maiden veil is not edible. It is about the size of a volley ball.

Very nice series. The highlights in the Maiden Veil are just this side of blown out. What were the lighting conditions?

We are supposed to get something like the Maiden's Veil in the UK, but it is rare.

John, thank you for the comments. The lighting conditions were in the jungle with shadows and spots of sunlight getting through the think foliage. Even here this species is rare. This was the first time I spotted it.
