Split Rock Lighthouse
I found this picture when searching through old photos. This is the Split Rock Lighthouse on the north shore of Lake Superior. I took this in 2014 right after purchasing my Fujifilm XT-1. When we lived in Minnesota full time this area was our favorite getaway. I had it put on metal n a 20" by 20" and it hangs on our living room wall in the Wyoming house.

Re: Split Rock Lighthouse
It's completely understandable why it's hanging on the wall of your home. Wonderful composition, three-dimensional look and scale!

Re: Split Rock Lighthouse
Rightly so -- it is a pretty piece of image. I like the texture of the rocks, the water and the composition itself. I wonder if you could have even up the side of the wall of the lighthouse, but it might be too perfect if you do...

Re: Split Rock Lighthouse
Thanks for the nice comments. The north shore of Lake Superior is a special place for us. One can fish, x/c ski, hike, bicycle, photograph or just do nothing. It has been our favorite weekend getaway spot while living in Minnesota. We would take our dogs there and they would run on the beach, play in the water and have a ball.
