Thanks Binnur. Please see the changes I made. I decided to crop rather than clone as I don't do a good job cloning. Please comment on the changes. By the way, my fave is the second pic showing the neighbor's lawn chairs looking toward the moon set

Hi Joe For some reason I can't get to the second page of this thread but I saw your reply from my mobile. The second image looks ok after cropping. But I think having that big tree on the RHS conveys a feeling of a wood around. So, both versions look good to me. The cropped version of the third image doesn't work for me as the moon doesn't look centered after cropping. That's why I think it is better to clone the tree instead of cropping. It is a very plain composition and it works nice with the moon in the centre.

PS. I was able to get to the second page when I posted my reply

For me, the edits have a much 'cleaner' less cluttered appearance.

Thanks Binnur. I see your point. I will try for a clean clone.

I managed to clone out the tree without any major problem. I used a different exposure so that I did not have to find the original. But the result is the same, moon and light path in the center. Hope you like it. PS. I will trake a little off the top also.

This scene from Long Point on Lake Erie. Long Point is a sand spit and medium-sized hamlet on the north shore of Lake Erie, part of Norfolk County in the province of Ontario, Canada.
It is about 40 kilometres long and is about a kilometre across at its widest point. Long Point is north of and across the lake from Erie, Pennsylvania.

Hi Joe ~ I like this photo of the lake. The blue against the beach and trees looks good to me! Balanced nicely I think. Well done.

That is a nice clean looking moonlight seascape now. I agree with your idea of a slight crop from the top because the moon does seem very central now.

This latest image looks good to me and those figures walking away from the foreground really guide your view deep into the scene.

This marsh is located at the beginning of the spit of land sticking out into lake Erie at Long Point.

    Now, it looks better Joe

PS. Because you used another exposure, the composition is different from the original. The original was a closer shot of the moon and this new one is a wider shot. You can crop from the top and both sides to make the composition similar to the original.

I like the composition and colors Joe Because it was shot at daytime the light didn't help much . Reducing the highlihts just a bit might create a nicer look or you can even try the dehaze slider just a bit to see if it helps the scene. I would also crop about 2/3 of the very empty part of the sky at the top.

Both of the recent images look good to me. Pleasing compositions with a sharply focused foreground and plenty of focus depth.

Lake Erie looks calm! That's rather unusual, isn't it? But lovely pics to see. I think I like the second one especially because of the colors and the view. I can picture myself sitting directly behind the flowers, reading a book and enjoying the scenery! Sharp clear and nicely done!

Thanks Binnur. I had already reduced the highlights all the way, but I never thought to adjust the haze control! Great idea! I will try it. The crop at the top will also make it better I think.

Hi Joe The crop works fine in my opinion. But dehaze slider created a blue color cast and IMO it didn't do a good job.Do you have photoshop? I created a brightness and contrast adjustment layer in PS for your image and reduced the brightness to -20 and increased the contrast to +20. It seems to have worked fine. You can try the same to see how it works or I can send you the edit by e-mail if you send your e-mail address with a PM.

I have never been keen on the Dehaze Filter; but perhaps it is just me. However, when I feel that sort of adjustment may be needed, I start with the original Raw file and slightly darken the blacks then carefully work in a bit of highlights. Also very carefully add some extra Vibrance/Saturation.

Thanks Binnur. No, I don't have Photoshop. All my PP work is in Lightroom. I will send you my email address anyway. Thanks for your help.

That is good to know. Thanks; I must try it
