Steam railways always fascinate me and this locomotive is steaming well. My only negative is that, reading the thread title, I was looking forward to 3 or 4 shots of aspects of this fine heritage line.

Phil, thank you for posting more and for your Flickr link - I enjoy all of these. One feature that raises the rating of a photo of this type for me is the exclusion of as much recent stuff as possible from the composition. The last two above do that pretty well in my view, and the last one is a great shot!

I love steam locomotives. My great grandfather was a steam locomotive engineer. The sound of that whistle sends shivers through me. REALLY like the last one of the series. Brought back a lot of memories and stories I've heard of my g-grandad.
