Very intriguing composition and perspective! The image is so nice that I hope you'll upload a larger file, as your initial file is so small that it makes it impossible to fully appreciate the details. Though there are some unattractive sharpening halos around the man and the tower, it's possible that they exist only in the small file and not in your original.
Yes, I agree with Mike here. I was born in Blackpool (it was where my mother happened to be at the time) but have not been back for over 60 years. I have waved to the tower from various points around the Irish sea though. I am intrigued to see what my birthplace is like these days.

Nicely timed and captured.
The larger file is more enjoyable to review and it's especially nice considering that it doesn't display the halos in the first file.
What is the role of the small dark thing between the ferris wheel and the tower? If it has an important role, shouldn't it be larger? If it has no important role, shouldn't it be eliminated?
What a fantastic viewpoint!!! really enjoyed this one!!!
Thanks Mike,John,John, and Nandakumar for you comments
Mike I have to admit I never noticed the 'dark thing' and it took me a while to work out what it was On the seafront opposite the tower are some tall bendy poles on top of which are leaf or paddle shapes. When the wind blows they flex in the wind, sometimes nearly horizontally . I have cloned it out.

The last version looks very nice Phil, very nice shooting angle and conversion
