Re: Dinner plate Dahlia
It looks nice, clear and colorful Alan Why not cropping the stem on the left?

Re: Dinner plate Dahlia
Thanks all.
I actually thought about leaving the stem in as it shows the beginnings of another bloom.

Re: Dinner plate Dahlia
That looks like it could be a very nice bloom when it is fully open. I hope you come back and post an image of it fully open Alan.

Re: Dinner plate Dahlia
I like the first pic! Colors and sharpness - it is well done! And like the rest of the group, I would like to see this one fully open!
And may I ask what the little blue flower is to the left of the dahlia? I have some and I've been puzzling over what it could be. I think it "volunteered" to grow where I have it so it could maybe be considered a weed but since I like the flower, I've declared that it is a "keeper"!

Re: Dinner plate Dahlia
The little blue flowers next to it are Salvia's (purely phonetic spelling on my part, I don't know if it's right or not) Sandy.
Here is today's picture of the Dahlia, SOOC with a Series E 100mm f2.8 lens.
It's really starting to open up now.

Nice series, Alan. Regarding size, is She who must be obeyed correct?

Re: Dinner plate Dahlia
I'm not sure Tony.
I guess it depends on your definition of what size a dinner plate is?
I'll take a picture tomorrow morning with a plate to give a size reference.

Re: Dinner plate Dahlia
Sorry, no plate for size comparison. It is a large bloom relative to most of the flowers in our garden though.
