    Lancaster Priory

When I am able to spend a little time wandering the streets of towns near to where I live, I usually explore some of the local churches and chapels. Sometimes you find a gem and in Lancaster recently I found myself in Lancaster Priory, the Parish Church of Lancaster that sits next to the Castle. Luckily, I had my Fuji X70 in my pocket and was able to try and capture some of the beautiful interior. Comments welcome.

    2. Two merged hand held exposures to get the detail in the window.

I like the set very much John Are they merges of more than one exposure ? The top left corner in #1 seems a bit too dark to me.

All images are nicely composed and display such nice color. They work equally well as a set. The photo of the Bible has a special poignant characteristic that is very appealing.

Having just responded to this thread I'm now seeing a strange poster like image to the tread rather than one of the original images?

    Re: Lancaster Priory

    Thanks all for the comments.

Binnur, only no.2 is a multiple exposure. I have pasted in the window from another frame because the original was burned out too much. It wasn't necessary for the first image because the lamps effectively reduced the exposure range.

Not sure what has happened wrt the cartoon of the busty young lady. It seems to have been introduced in Richard's reply but I'm not sure whether that was deliberate or it was a TinyPics quirk. Richard?

No. 3 is my favourite also. The candles seemed to provide a very human link in what otherwise would have been a straightforward architectural record.
