Nice captures but, knowing the vivid colors or Irish Dancer Costumes, I think that they might be nice in color also!
That can always be a problem when shooting under mixed light sources.
I wonder if this type of costume is prevalent in Ireland or is a New World adaptation.
I like them all John
I grew up in Ireland, and traditionally dancers wore very plain green.
The more exotic costumes are probably from the other side of the Atlantic, or maybe a development from the modernistic Irish dance movement initiated by the American born Michael Flatley with his Riverdance and other shows.
This is typical of what was worn back in the 1960's, which was the traditional dress I remember...

Thanks Trev... Another thing that is traditionally Irish on this side of the pond is Corned Beef which is actually of Jewish origin. When the Irish immigrants arrived in America, they could not find the traditional Irish Bacon. The Jewish Corned Beef was the closest thing and they adopted that. Now all American supermarkets have specials on Corned Beef and Cabbage around March for Saint Patrick's Day...
Nice work, John.
the faces are particularly good John. You seem to have captured some personality in each one.
