Being cameraless (sort of), I spent some time going over some of my old captures and processing / reprocessing them. These images are taken in 2013 at Lake Atitlan, in the Guatemalan Highlands in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas Mountain Range.
1. This is a pano of Lake Atitlan. The lake is considered by some to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. It is actually the caldera of an extinct volcano. Three volcanos San Pedro (extinct), Atitlan (active) and Toliman (active) can be see in this image. The lake does not drain into any ocean and has a habit of rising and falling unpredictably.
These images were taken when the Lake had unexpectedly risen far higher than normal and quite a number of buildings that were built quite a distance from the shoreline had suddenly become unusable and were abandoned.
