    Re: Movement

I like it Antonio. Nice colors and enough silhouette to recognize what it is. This is actually something to experiment with. One of the books I have mentions all the things you can do. Sometimes it becomes too vague for me, but in this case there is enough left to let your brain fill in the rest.
I shot a picture of a running dog this weekend, where the background and the dog were vague (by accident). Still it looked nice enough, so I kept it.
We should have more of these.

Edit: wasn't sure about posting a photo here, so I just posted a picture where I painted with light accidentally in the thread Blast from the Past

I wonder if you can do this in a Tango hall, what with the darker clothing and fast pace of movement?

Accidents only happen if you try to photograph. Accidents can be an option. I mean, we can force an accident. Lottery is an accident isn't it ? It's just a good and pleasant accident If you don't play you will not have the "accident"
And pixels are rather free aren't they ? Why shouldn't we try ?

Don't think Colin that what you have done - in spite of the resemblance/similarity - is more like a pan ?
And that is a different way to get the motion...

Hi, Antonio! I'm new to the community, here, but I've already appreciated your contributions in many different threads and forums. I've been watching this thread and keep thinking that I should share Lizzie Himmel with you. If you're interested, her photos are FULL of action/movement - whether from blurring or what she's captured or just, well, go see....... (I love her sense of humor, too!)

Yes, but I've discovered that if I leave IS on, it confuses the heck out of it and you and up with ghosts of parts of the scene, and not a continuous blur, which I also note in your exposure.

    Same thing here ...

I took lessons before a trip to Argentina so I am prepared to follow the movement. The Milonga is probably harder to photograph. But who wants to take photographs when the dance floor is filled with beautiful women.

Sorry Colin. I may be missing something but my picture was shot with the 5D and the 24-70. My wife didn't let me bring the large toy this time. And I was sorry. Very sorry. It won't happen again. I missied it a lot.
