Nice to see Age & trickery triumph again Stan!
Nice to see Age & trickery triumph again Stan!
Thanks Kay. I love doing this sort of shot or as some (younger by far) call it "nonsense" because they don't know how!

Does the RAW have any information up in the sky, or are all 3 channels blown?
If there is some, an alternative development of the RAW with (in ACR speak) maximum recovery and oodles of negative Exposure, on a different layer and revealed might prove beneficial.
I'd try that first in preference to a new sky, because unless you're careful with selection of donor image and execution, it'll be obvious.
I'd push the sharpening on the frost a bit more too.
Cheers,
Hmmm this sounds beyond my skills... I definitely need to spend more time on the tutorials...
... and on learning to Take My Time and Plan the Composition better!
Thanks guys for your comments they are always so helpful. I will have a bash at fixing this one up.

It's really quite simple - when you go out shooting, apart from spare camera, extra lenses, filters, tripod, laptop with mobile link-up, fold-up screens, cleaning-cloths, polarisers, and sandwiches, you need a 5ft aluminium folding ladder from B&Q to give you that extra height!
Aren't you glad you joined this forum - you wouldn't get this sort of help on POTN.
