Broken wine bottle in film noir style
November 2016 was the last time I or my wife broke any glass or were given any broken glass. Indeed, I was having intense symptoms of withdrawal. Fortunately, a couple days ago I was in a wine store where someone had accidentally dropped and broken a wine bottle. You should have seen the look on the clerk's face when I asked permission to take the top home with me. I got my photography fix yesterday when I photographed it.
Setup
The tabletop is textured fabric laced with shiny metallic flecks. A small continuous-light lamp modified with matte black aluminum foil to shape the light falling on the tabletop is in the rear area. A white reflector on the right side brightens the near side of the bottle's neck to add interest and help define its shape.

I like the image Mike. It looks as if it was shot in a crime scene
