I was out the other day as usual, hunting insects, I was after Dragonflies, and while I did see a few there was no way they were staying still for me.
I was at Charlescote Park a National Trust property, it was sunny, and very hot. The ornamental borders in the gardens were quite spectacular, with butterflies and bees doing that thing they do, hunting pollen and nectar, and getting frisky as well.
It was one of those bright days that really stick in the memory, I can remember them from years back when I was a lot younger, and I realised I'd never actually tried to photograph a summer's day.
So, I stopped chasing the dragons, and set about trying, simply, to capture the light and mood of .... 'One Summer's Day'
The images are at the link below since TinyPic does not appaer to be working for me this last few days.
