Richard, I'm glad the purchase is working out. I wish I had autofocus with the 1.4TC mkiii plus the mki 100-400 with my 60D. My manual focus has worked well sometimes but not so well other times.
The 80D has autofocus that is even better at f/8 than is my 7D Mk-ii. However, I an going to shoot some moving targets at the coast tomorrow. Hopefully there will be some gulls or pelicans flying around...
