Nikon D750 shutter recall

My camera was on the recall list for shadows appearing in imagery. I'd never seen the defect but decided to send it in anyway. Camera returned thoroughly cleaned, various parts replaced, shutter speeds and auto focus adjusted, firmware upgraded. Plan to give it a workout to see if anything improved, stayed the same.

Provided the turnaround time was reasonable and the updates perform OK you should be happy. Let us all know if you are still satisfied in a week or so.

I was unaware of the recall until reading John's post. I filled in the online form and received an email from Nikon telling me that it's now on the list and they'll send a postage paid label when ready to do the work. They did say that the turn-round time could be up to 2 weeks.

The turnaround for me was within two weeks, however my repair center was within my state.

They're located in the London region which is a next day postal service. However, it's August and English school holiday time.
