    My Oliver

I am often so busy with dog portraits to post on our various rescue sites that I may tend to neglect photos of my own dogs. Oliver was once a rescue that we were fostering but this little guy is so cute and smart and he has such a neat personality that we adopted him. I had the Fall props set up to photograph Cookie's puppies and I thought, why not shoot a few of shots of Oliver. Here they are...

It is really nice to be able to shoot a dog that knows the simple commands such as sit and who is relaxed in my presence. He seemed to say, OK, I'm ready, take my photo!

Of course, even with the easiest to photograph dogs, there are images like these

The one on the left says "I've had enough, where is my treat" followed by "Thank you".

The little blue ribbon seems to want to tuck itself into different positions! Does this mean that Oliver was wiggling around?
All are good pics of him, even the last two because these two show character! In my opinion of course!

Here's another rescue dog. Poppy has had major surgery on her rear leg which included installing pins to support the bones. She is doing exceptionally well; far beyond the expectations of our orthopedic vet...
