A new member from Switzerland
Hello everybody,
My name is Therese and I'm from Lausanne, Switzerland. Saying I'm a photographer would be boasting. I enjoy photography, and I do it for a living in a niche called "flower photography". I work with florists in the region and help them get the best shots of bouquets and arrangements for their catalogues. I enjoy this work, but it's only part-time. I want to become a true professional and I have so much to learn. I want to find the right material, use the right lighting, etc.
So I thought maybe I'd join and read a bit, so that I can become better at my hobby
Thanks for reading.
Therese

Hi Therese,
Welcome and what could be more right for lighting than the sun. I know the sun does cause some issues but it can also be used for dramatic effects: backlighting, cast shadows, etc. Looking forward to seeing your images.

Welcome Therese. It's likely that we will also learn from your experience of flower photography. We have one or two specialists on here that happily pass on their knowledge already.
