Grant Atkinson Videos
Grant Atkinson, South African photographer has posted a series of videos on YouTube regarding various Canon cameras and lenses. I was particularly interested in how he has set up his 7D Mark-2 for moving subjects. Grant doesn't use back button focusing and I (who have great difficulty walking and chewing gum at the same time) have never mastered back button focusing. However the way Grant configures his 7D2, it offers many advantages of back button focusing. I have configured my 7D2 as per his recommendations and I really like the way it operates. I think that I will like it even better as I get more used to this system (note my comment on walking and chewing gum)

Grant has also posted videos and reviews on the 80D and various other cameras including but, not limited to: the 6D, 5D3 and 5DSR. If they are as good as (I consider) his 7D2 videos, they should be well worth viewing. He has also review various Canon and Tokina lenses...
Here is his website...

Re: Grant Atkinson Videos
Interesting. One reason many people use back button AF is that it allows you to do whatever you want with the shutter button without triggering AF. He makes this manual rather than automatic: his settings leave AF linked to the shutter except when he has the back AF button depressed.
I have been using BB AF for so long that NOT using it is like walking and chewing gum. I sometimes depress it without thinking even when I don't want AF.
