Clean and simple
Taken a few years ago downtown, here in Toronto.
A photobud and I were shooting a railway caboose that had been reincarnated as part of a restaurant when I noticed a staircase to a building entrance, and liking the unclutered, colourful composition, grabbed this shot.
motorized Nikon F2AS

Fuji Sensia II 100 ISO colour slide

Nandakumar /John,
Thanks for the comments.
At another site, I was told I have an eye for "mysterious subjects", to which I replied that I just see the things I see.

Re: Clean and simple
Thank Robin.
My wife hates driving with me as she says I'm always looking out for pictures, rather than paying attention to the road, which is why I usually go out by myself when I'm photographing. Less chance of arguments.

Re: Clean and simple
That is the perfect example of what a colour picture is about - colour.
Beautifully simple concept, but hard to get the composition right. You have it bang on.

Thanks Donald.
This composition literally jumped out at me when I first saw it.
