Another good series Colin,
For me, the two 'straight on' ones (4 & 5) work least well, but I expect they might be here to make that point
(Hope I got that right
)
Last and first are my favourites, but 2, 3 and 6 are good too, although 3 and 7 are sad/pensive poses.

Personally, I like the square-on shots too; it's not a pose I use a lot, but there are only so many variations on a 2/3 pose that one can use without everything starting to look the same.
I'd call both 3 & 7 pensive; again, if one isn't careful, one ends up with the same smile in every shot (which I pretty much did in the 100+ frames I shot) - so personally I like to convey a different emotion in some shots (trying to avoid "cookie cutter" portraiture) (which is hard enough when it's an unplanned shoot and we only have 1 set of clothes).
