Saltburn

I had a trip out with a couple of friends last week, taking in the views at Staithes and Saltburn. I'll save the Staithes images for another thread. Here's a couple from Saltburn. As always your thoughts and comments are welcome.

#1 I quite like this one even though it doesn't include all of the pier.




#2 just in case you felt robbed by not being able to see all of the structure in #1 above. This is one taken just after the sun had gone down which seemed to encourage a family to wander on to the beach to play.




#3 I decided to add a third image to the thread, I did get my feet wet making this one

I still prefer the second image because of the overall less contrast of the third one and because of the pink tones.

The darker tones in #2 gives a more dramatic composition. Nicely done on both.

they're all beautiful. But for my taste it's number 1. It gives me the feeling of infinite possibilities.

I typically prefer sunrise/set shots with the sun below the horizon. So no.2 draws me in for that reason. Lovely colors. But I think in this case I actually prefer no.3 for the cleaner(i.e.vacant) beach and lovely reflected sunlight on the beach. Nicely done.

I find it difficult to choose one over the other; three images have different cloud patterns and all of them are very nice too....
