Candy's daughter Almond Joy (7-weeks) is a ham for the camera...

    Nice efforts, interestingly shaped catchlights.

A couple more snapshots of Almond Joy as I was walking by her pen earlier today...

    Almond Joy is a HAM!

    Almond Joy is a HAM!

I usually shoot dogs and puppies from their eye level but, I liked Joy's look as I was over her! In this instance, I reversed the flash head so that it bounced off the ceiling as I peered down at Joy...

Actually, she was on her back playing with a toy but, left that pose as I went to get a memory card for the camera. Just goes to show you, memory and charged batteries should be part of any "ready" camera

I just bought a 256GB memory, Sandisk, so mine is always ready. Battery is always what I forget to replace so I stick a note to check it every now and then in my cellphone with an alarm to charge my battery after every outing, like yesterday when we attended a military funeral at Jefferson Barracks cemetery. Not that I do not have extras but it is a good habit to have it ready. On a big trip like next month's wedding anniversary, all my three batteries will get charged no matter what...

Anyway, Almond Joy is so cute...especially the second pose. If you are not careful, you will refuse to let her be adopted. hahaha

Almond Joy has been adopted. Her new mom is flying on to pick her up. Joy is the second of our rescues that this lady has adopted. The first was quite old and not in great physical shape. The lady gave it great care for a couple of years until it passed away. She deserves a young healthy pup like Almond Joy and the pup deserves a great mom like she is getting...

That is very good news Richard. I believe I can feel how you feel when one of your wards get adopted and you know that they are going to a good loving home and family. Good job!

People often ask me if I miss our fosters... Sure I miss them but, they are "miraculously and suddenly" replaced with other fosters who need us.

We really get great feelings when we either see one of our previous fosters (adopters often bring these dogs to our adoption events) or when we receive images or videos of our previous fosters showing what good lives they are living.

We tell folks who adopt from us that we will doggie sit our previous fosters if the family goes on vacation or needs to be away for other reasons. It's a great feeling when the dogs are happy to return to our home but, a greater feeling when we see how much the dogs love their new families when the families return to pick them up...
