Blue jar on a red background -- TAKE 2

Though this subject has already been displayed in this thread, the presentation shown below is so different that I posted it separately.

    Setup
The tabletop and background are a single sheet of red, translucent art paper. The paper and subject are supported underneath by a glass tabletop. First capture: A flash unit fitted with a snoot underneath the tabletop lights the tabletop and a medium continuous-light lamp lights the background from behind. Second capture: A slower shutter speed properly exposes the subject. The light shining through the red background mixes with the blue glass to create the purple-pink color in the body of the jar. Third capture: A handheld flashlight on the right side lights the neck and stopper. The subject in the second capture was merged with the tabletop and background from the first capture. The neck and stopper from the third capture were then merged with the other parts of the scene to create the final image.

Like this one best Mike. Makes it seem like it's in a fiery furnace.

This one is very different, more edge details, more ornamental treatment to the background and surface.

    Mike,
Another studio set-up very skillfully handled.
I prefer the treatment of the jar in this shot to the one in the original, although the plainer background in the first one is less distracting than the textured background here.
    But excellent work nonetheless.
