The Ragtime Rascals.
Just for fun.
This trio seem to pop up at most of the Pottery events that my wife takes me to. They weren't bad considering they were short of drums and clarinet. Because there were three of them, I thought a triptych might be appropriate. The background is pretty awful but these events seem to always make use of the local cattle auctions. Hence the cattle pens.

I love your idea with the triptych presentation. The BG isn't great but could be worse. At least there aren't brightly clothed people back there.

Nice colorful set, John. I like the background because it shows their informal environment.
By the way, they aren't missing a clarinet; it's displayed in your middle photo.

Re: The Ragtime Rascals.
I meant trombone. Close but no cigar.
....and then there's the trumpet ..... or not.

Re: The Ragtime Rascals.
I like the idea but the cropping is too severe. I know the mind/eye can sometimes fill in the blanks but the mind can also reject aesthetically because of what is not there; in particular the hand and the partial circle/void of the horn. Nice effort.

Thanks all for the comments. John, you are right about the crops. The whole PP is a bit rough and ready. It was just a fun idea.
