Tea field in Black Sea Region

I gave up waiting for Tinypic to correct itself If the image seems oversharpened to you, it is Flickr's fault , not mine.

Please don't edit the image, C&C appreciated as always

This is awesome, Binnur. I love the composition and the color. The red clothing perfectly compliments the rich green. You must have supplied the red outfits to the ladies just for this photo ?

Looks good to me. As far as I can tell from the Lightbox view, it is fairly sharp but not quite over done.

Thank you all , I'm glad that you like the image

Dan, the clothes are the traditional ones for that region. I actually had a pair of socks with red , yellow and black patterns as a souvenir on that trip. But you are right that we supplied the clothes because there weren't any workers in the field at the time of shooting. So, our driver who was also from that region got the clothes from a place he knew well and his wife and another photographer lady put them on so that we could shoot some images. Our driver's wife already knew how to do the job and she told the other lady how to crop the tea leaves.

That's a great image Binnur. All the better for your setting it up. Without the figures I wouldn't have known what I was looking at. Have the tea bushes been cropped to that shape as a result of harvesting or is there some reason why they are kept that way (e.g. perhaps to maximise exposure to light)?

Well captured and "well made" photo. I passed a tea plantation in South Chine but, the darn tour bus did not stop

I spent 12 days in China and saw a lot. However if I went at my own pace, it would have taken a couple of months and many thousands more images to complete the tour

Excellent shot, Binnur. I just wished you did not tell me (us) about staging up the ladies for the photoshoot. I do not know why, perhaps I prefer a really nice shot without ever having to think of anything but your creativity that made this one so.

Re: Tea field in Black Sea Region

Thanks again for the further comments

John,as far as I know tea bushes are usually grown in rows and I think cropping the bushes is easier this way. This field is a well-maintained one as Grahame mentioned. Because some tea factories used to use this one for their advertisements. As far as I know it is not hired for advertisements anymore.

I hope and wish I will be able to visit China one day Richard, you are so lucky to have the opportunity.

Isabel, there were no workers in the field at the time of shooting so we had no choice . But we didn't tell the ladies to do this and that. We shot from different angles while they were busy with the bushes. But I have some other photos of the tea bushes without the ladies and you might like them. I waited for a long time for Tinypic and that's why I haven't edited them yet but I think I will edit and upload them very soon as I don't wait for Tinypic anymore .
