    Eclipse Sunset

It was pretty dang amazing. We had forest fire smoke but it really didn't cast a shadow, ha, ha, on our experience. I didn't focus on my photography though I did try a couple of shots during that short couple of minutes. One of the sun and moon and one behind us of the dark skies...an eclipse sunset. (Tiny pic says no to the second upload - it's a classic corona shot..)

P.S. Tiny pic says yes to a reedit of my first shot.... this feels more like what it was :-)

P.P.S. I was able to upload the corona pic now, yeah.

Very interesting. Of the millions who witnessed the event I wonder how many bothered to look behind them. I guess it takes a photographer Nicely done.

It truly was. Thanks Paul. I grew up in Northern Illinois - I miss those big open skies and storms.

You added a corona...I was amazed and somewhat overwhelmed when it came and goes so quickly I wanted more. It is a once in a lifetime.

P.S. I saw the corona when I clicked this post from my Inbox. But now it is not here, just a title with a link and nothing else. Even if I clicked on the link, nothing shows.

Anyway from what I remember, I have quite a few of those coronas too, the dark with the brown and purple looks nice in reality. I think they are called prominence.

hum...I still find it there this morning on my end Izzie. It was fast wasn't it?! That was a big part of the strangeness and awe for me. I kept thinking what ancient people must have thought not knowing what we know today because there was definitely an end of world feel to things. Things were not as they should have been. The photographer in me ached for a few more minutes.

I can see it now..I didn't yesterday...Still beautiful. It is an emotional and wow! experience for me. Somehow, we have to take into consideration that nature is showing us something really good. No superstition stuff but the aftermath brought out a sort of personal feeling to me.
