M'Lady is not a big fan of snakes. So we and the snakes made a deal: Don't show yourself to M'Lady and I won't have to try to kill you.

But while M'lady is away we shall play.

For the record I was about two meters away which is way outside the threatening zone. He or she was pointed away from me. This is not an aggressive snake. Nor is it poisonous. I was in no danger.

Certainly. Then I reminded him/her of our arrangement to not be around when M'Lady was and he left. Almost every mythology talks of a time when all creatures walked and talked together.

One thing I do NOT miss from southern climes is snakes. It's not that I'm afraid of them. But from a practical standpoint it is rather bothersome always having to be mindful of where one puts one's feet when stumbling about in the bush. If we had snakes up here I would do a lot less wildlife and a lot more landscape photography
