    Juvenile Brown Hare

Up on the fells last evening but there was absolutely nothing of consequence in sight. They have all gone on holiday. The only thing I found was this singular baby brown hare. For what it's worth....

    Both Fuji X and 100-400mm plus 1.4x

Nice detail and the eyes look great. I might clone out the dark area bottom left.

Good focus and exposure. After looking at the images with the Lightbox view, I wouldn't worry too much about that lump of dark earth in the corner. It looks OK and natural when seen at the higher resolution with more detail.

Awesome detail. That Fuji is pretty impressive when properly handled.

Excellent captures, John, and, as Jim commented, great detail and focus on the eyes.

I thought I prefer #1 but they are both good and sharp. I even googled that difference between a rabbit and a hare. I think we only have rabbits around here...

    Thanks all for the comments.

Dan, I am continually impressed with the lens particularly since it seems to retain its IQ even when the 1.4x is fitted. The other factor is that Fuji claim a five stop image stabilisation and that definitely works. Makes hand held shots eminently possible.
