Helpful Posts: M'Lady has been putting in a lot of hours lately. I got up early planning to let her sleep in and bring her a late breakfast in bed.
Then I looked down and saw this beauty at the side of the garden path. Who could resist? I slowly knelt down and got the butterfly into my hand. Thirty meters to the house. Backing through the door and into the bedroom.
Softly calling to M'Lady she woke up and her eyes focused on the butterfly. She was impressed.
I went back outside M'lady got dressed and the butterfly went to her as I got my camera set up.
A good start to her day I dare say!

Thanks for the kind words. I know it looks well out of focus but it is closer than it looks. At slightly over full size the scales are visible in many areas. With M'Lady holding the beast and a slight breeze I opted for auto focus which gives a nice overall look.
In real life the butterfly looks as if it has been powder coated.
