Black headed gull
I went down to the local reservoir to practise with my G80 and 100-300mm. I wanted to try BIF's - miserable failure - but I think this image is pleasing. Any comments welcome.

Excellent. I like the way the surrounding water reflects the blue of the sky. As for BIF, join the club.

Nice effect of the ripples around the bird. I wonder if it was 'eddying' (if thats the right word). Some birds create a vortex in the water to draw up possible food from below. Anyway, I like the composiion.

I like this a lot, it is well exposed and the colours in the water add a very attractive dimension to the shot.
