    Visited The Kimberly

The Kimberly is the 'top end' of Western Australia, it was formed when the Australia plate collided with Asia many millions of years ago. More of a fender bender than an insurance write-off. The result was an area of outstanding natural beauty.

My poor old campervan covered 10,473klm getting there and back and took quite a beating on the many dirt roads. Some river crossings were on the limit.

Rough roads took their toll, punctures had to be repaired along the way.

Windjana gorge was one of my favourite spots.

Sounds like you had an interesting trip Richard. You certainly need to be well prepared to attempt it. Interesting set. I like the birds and I take it the croc shot is from a healthy distance.

I love WA. Lots of places to see there and photograph. My favourite place in WA is Geraldton. A long time ago I would have loved to retire there. I love that shot of the Windjana Gorge..pretty place.

P.S. Use Flickr. I don't bother with Tiny Pics anymore. Too much hassle.

Nice set. I particularly like #4. The asymmetric framing enhances the view.
