A very nice, sharp image with good bokeh. Our birds are starting to pick over the cone flowers.

I have lots of this in my volunteer sunflowers in the backyard. They are as pretty as this shot of yours. Maybe one day I will photograph them. They scare easily. 'must be my face. hahahaha

Nice shot. All the better for the apparent eye contact.

Thanks Paul for your kind comments. The birds at the Cook County Forest Preserve, Camp Sagawau, where I took this photo, probably have about 10 feeders to choose from for a meal, but I do see them among the purple cone flowers that already are starting to go to seed, too.

Izzie, thanks for your kind comments. The birds do scare easily. In my very limited experience, they are easier to photograph at feeders than when they are among flowers. You lose, however, the natural background, which I would have preferred.

Thanks for your kind comment, John. I liked the catch light in the bird's eye, too.

Dan, thanks for viewing the photo. I took about 20 photos of the pictured bird, and this was the "best" one.
