    Old Indiana Barn.

Spent a week in Northeast Indiana checking up on mom.
Love the old barns out there. Lots of corn and soybeans too.

    Old Indiana Barn.

    Thanks for peeking.

Very nice. There are a lot of old barns in Wyoming but they are hard to photograph as they are difficult to get to. The farms in Minnesota are not as big so one can get close.

Thanks Paul. I lived in Wyoming for 4 years (FE Warren AFB in Cheyenne). Big open spaces and lots of wind. And ya, farms and barns. Indiana does have some cool old barns.

I like the composition but watch out for the tones of the sky and barn roof, the tones are so close that it makes the roof overhang appear sketched in.

I like your POV and framing. This would be a good candidate for b&w IR (a black sky, white clouds and foreground). Old barns like this are rapidly disappearing.

Thank you John and Paul, I agree on the tones, and filter. I did apply post, a b&w IR filter, but it didn't do so well on the sky. I played a bit more, but maybe should not have

It doesn't matter what you call the style of the last image so long as you call it wonderful! All of the tonalities combined with the composition make for a really dramatic image. Well done, Sharon!

Thank you Mike, that means a lot. I've been learning from the best here on CIC . Taking more time (I was sans husband on my trip to IN) and knowing my camera a bit better.

Great old barn Sharon and you can hardly beat those midwest clouds and skies. Nice composition. :-) A slight vignette may work well here..?
