Helpful Posts: I was driving along the Capricorn Highway at 100k when this unfortunate Clearwing Swallowtail flew into the front of my van and I pulled over to see if anything was left of it.

The splatter around it was from other unfortunate insects. Just after I clicked the shutter and much to my surprise it found its feet (no pun intended).

I left it on some plants well back from the road and hope it recovered fully.

Looks like it has already been in the wars judging by the state of it's wing tip. It's amazing how they survive all sorts of rough experiences.
