Sadly, due to my schedule right now, I think that will be happening next year. It's too bad that the road is only open for about 3 months. We were talking with on of the forest rangers and he was telling us that last year there was 45 feet of snow up there
Hi Rita, yes there is lots and lots of snow, so critical for the water supply. We've been up to Artists Point in July where the snow still covered the bathroom but the entrance was carved out. I am happy when there is so much snow up there, anything else would be frightening . Such a beautiful place, hopefully next year you make it again.

I second what Bruce and others have said. The final crop is by far the strongest. The out-of focus rocks was a little distracting in the original but I think it has been minimized to the point of no longer being distracting. Also, adding the mountain top back in was essential.

Nice shots. Reminds me of so many high mountain lakes in Idaho where I grew up.

I agree, the snow is very important for the water supply. Online I saw some images of the bathrooms being still snowed in in July, quit the sight. Going back next year is going to be a high priority, we might even take something to slide down the hill on. Nothing like tobogganing in the summer

Thanks for commenting Mike. I do like keeping the mountain top in.

Rita and Sharon -- there! now you know where the phrase 'butt freeze' came from.

Izzie, in the abnormally hot temps we have been having sliding on snow would have felt very good
