    Here's how it works ...

    - You good folks post images in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture)

    - When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    - If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread in this forum

Daisy is 25 years old. I spotted her and her owner out for a walk in the park. They were kind enough to let me take some shots.

    Hi Wendy,

Sulphur Crested Cockatoos live for 70 – 80 years and there is a saying in Australian that goes – ‘he/she/its been around since Cocky was egg’.

Excellent shot, Wendy. The colours are super. I'm surprised it's f/8 as you also have a very nice bokeh there.

Thanks Rob, I like the bokeh too and was a bit surprised myself. After your comment I went back and looked at some of the other shots I took that day, and I also went to the DOF tutorial to brush up a bit.
I don't always get the DOF results I expect with digital, so I would like to go to school on this here:
Need some help predicting Bokeh results

Thanks, for the positive feedback everyone

    Hey Peter,
That is a very nice shot. I was surfing the net not too long ago and stumbled upon a website for a grafitti specific spray paint. Its called ironlak, and I believe the company was started in Australia. Anyway, there are a bunch of REALLY talented artist that they sponsor, and the have videos of the artists at work. Maybe you could watch one and potentially find out where they are. Or maybe you can contact them and go out for a shoot. I think they have permission for a lot of the work they do, so you wouldn't need to dress up all ninja like. Unless you want to. I would definitely let them paint somewhere. I hope to see many more.

    Thanks Shane,

The artists adn authorities have a pretty good understanding between them. We have some wonderful strret art but generally adorning lanways and side street, not defacing public buildings. I have some more in my gallery on Melbourne Street Art click here

Actually the formula is wrong, but not far out. An exclusion layer does some crazy things but I don't think the above formula will allow white, but a slight modification will.
