I like the first shot the best... Where in New York was that?
I like #1. Very nice shot Jason.
Its in the catskills off rt 32a on the way to tannersville. The area is amazing this time of year.
Hi Jason,
Just wanted to say that these are my kind of shots. I am a big fan of rugged terrain, and especially have a thing for waterfalls.
I wonder if there is an orange cast in # 2. Looking at the people in it makes me wonder.
I would say that it would be possible to add a sky to #2, but because of the separation of the trees at the top of the ridge, it would be a tedious process and might not look to your liking when you are finished. Your lines there would not be very defined to begin with.
Again, nice shots!
Very nice....beautiful fall colors.
Chuck
so truth be told I dropped the sky in. It was cloudy and i wanted to not be. is it terribly noticeable? It screams at me (insert guilty conscience face here)
Also i showed my friend who is a science buff, i believe theyre called nerds, the first photo and he said that it was a natural fractal and apparently there are scientists that study this sort of thing. There's a lot to it but it was kind of interesting.
From the best that i understood it was a fractal is a some sort repeating pattern that continually gets smaller. apparently in nature it happens everywhere, i truthfully don't remember his other example. anyway my friend was saying that the highest drop is the biggest on the right then a smaller on the left, then it shifts back right with an even smaller, it continues to do the same shifting pattern right to the bottom of the frame.
I thought it was neat that there's people doing research out there on these sorts of naturally occurring patterns.
So tomorrow I'm going to make my first "sale" of this photo. One of the last things we have to do before we graduate the culinary is we have to do a charity event. Our event is a murder mystery dinner and silent auction. I donated a matted 8 x 10 print and i am very excited by the idea that someone is going to by my photo. Anyway the event is going to be alot of fun but alot of work as well, I believe we're having 140 guests.
