Heard very little of Punta Gorda on tv yesterday, so you might be OK there apart from the traffic congestion...we are monitoring the situation too because of our place in Cedar Key and Bill's best friend. They are at Williston Airport 40 miles inland and ready to fly out at a moment's notice worst comes to worst but it seems it is in category 1 when it reach them. They haven't recovered from the last storm that hit their marina.

Looks like we came out OK in Punta Gorda. The water never came over the seawall and my neighborhood is build to hurricane specs (or rebuilt to spec after Charley). I am getting reports of no damage but I'll want to check some things myself when I get back. The power was out for a while so I might have a ruined freezer full of food.
