Floating Mt Hood

Eastern WA trip. Conversion to B&W.
Not sure foreground works (should have framed with the farm fields only), but it's there. Exposure may be off, I'm still thinking on it.

This one's not floatin' my boat, Sharon. The sky darker than the trees below the mountain just doesn't look right.

I agree. The second is much better. But I am puzzled by the title. The only Mt. Hood I know is in the Cascades, in western Oregon, not eastern Washington. It looks a lot like this. Did you make a mistake in the title? Or is there another Mt. hood?

Yes, Mt. Hood is in Oregon. Visible from WA State as well, although closer to the Columbia River Gorge. .
You get out in some of the flat desert in WA and you can see Hood, Adams, Helens.
So yes, Eastern WA isn't really the correct "trip" notation although we were there and traveled to the Gorge. hehe

Yes, wo a real interesting foreground, just the mountain works better. With landscapes like this, it's often hard to get a very interesting take. Aperture was F16, but even with that it's soft (this camera had zoom lenses, and I never cared for them, even when they were L lenses). Either that, or I just didn't use them correctly.

That area of Oregon is beautiful. I used to do a lot of steelhead fishing on the Deschutes River. I need to get back there.
